WELCOME TO ISSUE 1 OF

THE [PALM] SUNDAY TIMES

There is no ignoring the fact that the social media landscape that we've all come to rely on for communication and connection is changing rapidly. I cherish all of you (and our unique relationships we've built together) too much not to fear losing you. I'll be reaching out to you more in your inbox going forward, with an attempt to summarize what I would regularly share on social media. And while I'll still be active there for now, consider this a nice way for us to sit down together and have some quality time.

So pour yourself a cup of tea and get comfy.

RAISING FUNDS FOR LA

PALM CHARMS BENEFITING LA FIRE GOFUNDMES

On Friday 17th, I posted in IG stories a video of a small charm I had engraved with a simple palm tree, similar to the ones I'd engraved on the Mignolo and Tripletta Rings. The response was strong so I decided to make a batch of five and post them as a fundraiser for LA. Each charm was handmade from recycled 14k gold and listed for $300, with $100 of that money going to a GoFundMe of someone in LA who lost their home (or a wildfire foundation of the purchaser's choosing).

The charms have a rough shape and molten texture on the back with a sanded finish on the front. Some even have bits of charcoal and ash in them from the melting process, a symbolism I find fitting for the occasion.

As I'm writing this, we've raised $500 going directly to those who need it, and I plan to keep making the charms as long as they are requested. If you'd like one, you can choose your design from those above and either email me at hello@palm-sunday.com or DM me on Instagram. Please include your payment preference (Venmo or PayPal), your design choice, and a GoFundMe you'd like to donate to (or I can choose one for you).

RAISING FUNDS FOR NC AND LA

SAPPHIRE RING BENEFITING
HURRICANE AND FIRE VICTIMS

Caleb Quashen, an ethical stone dealer I've worked with for years, reached out in the wake of Hurricane Helene to ask if I'd like to collaborate on a ring if he supplied the sapphire. I would donate my time and gold and we'd sell the ring and donate the entire sale price to a recovery fund. Even at the time of this discussion, Caleb was already dealing with wildfires near his home in Thousand Oaks, CA, but he still had the generosity to reach out and help us dealing with disaster on the East Coast.

The ring is still available, and because those fires have become more destructive than we could have ever imagined, we've decided to split the $3,600 between the two coasts. If you would like to purchase this ring or need more details, please email me.

GEARING UP FOR TUCSON

IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR OUR ANNUAL
GEM SOURCING TRIP

I'll be traveling to the gem shows in Tucson, Arizona February 1st to shop for the gems for upcoming collections (and many other treasures). If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that I love sharing my experience there as it's always magical and exciting. I'll introduce you to the dealers I've come to know and love along with their wonderful stones. Leading up to the trip, I'll cover some of these ethical and responsible dealers in more depth in Issue 2 of The Sunday Times as well as the inspiration and moodboard for the next collection (!!). SO STAY TUNED.

CrYsTaLs!!!

Last Year's Stone Selection

The next four years are likely to be unstable and unpredictable. I really hope to create a space here where we can connect, so please feel free to respond to these emails just like you would to a story or a DM. I will reply to every response.

I look forward to sharing with you all the things I find inspiring, enlightening, and exciting.

Thanks so much for following along.
Lauren
