Our last full day together in the Azores had us seeking out swimming locations so we could decompress before flying back to the states. We found a black sand beach, an ocean-fed swimming pool, and a convent along the way. It was also Lauren B's birthday and she wanted to spend the afternoon on the west side of the island at Sete Cidades, two beautiful crater lakes surrounded by mountains. We also had a beautiful sunset to send her into her next decade.
Tomorrow we will spend the morning at the pool and the natural pools here at the hotel before taking Lauren to the airport and checking me in to my next hotel for one more night in Ponta Deldada.
