We wanted to take at least one day trip outside Lisbon and had a hard time deciding between Cascais and Sintra. After seeing photos of the crowds at Sintra and considering the high temps, we went with Cascais (pronounced kash-KAISh) which is a short 40 minute drive from Lisbon (60, if you take the Hop on Hop Off bus like we did). We enjoyed every minute of it, but especially when we were swimming in what looked like a scene straight out of a fairytale.
We took the bus back to Lisbon with just enough time to change out of our swimsuits and head to Almada for dinner at Restaurante Ponto Final. This restaurant is across the river from Lisbon and you can either Uber there or take a boat. We took an Uber to get there and then took a little speed boat on the way home which was so fun! And if you watch "Somebody Feed Phil" you might recognize it as he ate there on the show.
Tomorrow is our last day in Lisbon before we head to The Azores!
